Arthur - The Stray Dog is a four minute computer generated animation short film. Inspired by a true event, the film is about the athlete Mikael who participates in an extreme trekking race in the Amazon rainforest. During a short break he meets the street dog Arthur and attracts his interest unintentionally. From this moment on Arthur follows him but the athlete is not particularly happy about his new companion …
This short film was part of my bachelor thesis in media design at the university of applied sciences and arts Hanover. Irina Moroz and I worked on this project around six month. We got help in the animation part by fellow students as well as in the music by Renja Schmakeit and sounddesign by Andreas Gajewski.
I was responsible for character concepts, pipeline development, modeling, texturing, rigging, shading, grooming, simulation, some animation, rendering and compositing.
